Russia is the second military power in the world: it has an army four times the size of Ukraine. Experts speak of an unequal confrontation on all fronts.

It's kind of like David versus Goliath. Russia is the second largest military and nuclear power in the world, after the United States. On this list, Ukraine only ranks 22nd and the differences are often clear.

In the last year alone, Putin's country invested around 140 billion euros in National Defense, alongside Ukraine whose annual budget did not reach 10 billion. The figures from Global Fire Power, the consultancy that gathers statistics from the Defense sector, show that Russia is the 5th country in the world that invests the most in military power.

Experts speak of an unequal confrontation on all fronts. Despite Ukraine modernized as its Armed Forces after the annexes of Crimea, in 2014, eight years and have evolved greatly during the last clashes in the breakaway regions.

Since 2014, more than 2,000 million euros have been used from the United States to Ukraine, sending military aid, protected warships, and other war equipment to the country. Means that, now says Ukraine, are not enough in the theater of operations. Therefore, it asks for more help from the West.

Putin has already left a warning: anyone who tries to stop Russia and threaten the country will suffer consequences “unseen in history”.
