“Anime thighs" refers to the thighs of a character, preferably female but can refer to any gender, from anime, manga, visual novels, light novels, or any other otaku fictional medium.

Many otakus praise anime thighs because:

1. The concept of “Thicc Thighs", the bigger and fatter the thigh looks, the more attractive the character or person is. The word “Thicc" is a slang adjective meaning “curvy and sexy".

2. Thigh Highs, the socks that go over the knee in many anime characters. When combined with very short skirts, this phenomenon is known as “Zettai Ryōiki” (Also known as “absolute territory”, a term that was shortened from a term in the anime “Neon Genisis Evangelion”). When “Thicc Thighs” are combined with these socks, it creates an illusion that makes the thighs look more curvy than they actually are.
