Minecraft 1.0 Release

Minecraft 1.0 is the official release of Minecraft for the computer. It was released during MineCon on the 18th November 2011 by Notch at the keynote address ceremony at 21:54:50 GMT.

Notch hasn't decided whether he will be updating Minecraft in the future, but as we all know, this game has been in development for some time, and Notch has stated many times that he could not wait for the final release.

The changes include

A proper ending to the game in a realm called "The End".
New Nether content (Nether Fortress).
New achievements.
Score is stated on death based on total experience orbs held on the player.
A new game mode. (Hardcore)
New biomes. (Mushroom and Tundra)
New items.
New Texture for the back of Steve's head.
New Texture for the Iron block
New blocks.
New mobs. (Enderdragon (Boss Mob), Snow Golem, Mooshroom Cows, Villager Mobs,[8] Magma Cube, Blaze)
Animal breeding.
Potions.
Tool rebalance as well as enchantments.
Improved Armor system.
Mob health rebalance. (Sheep, Spiders, Zombies)
New sound effects, including: Chest sound, Door/Gate sound, Bow Sound, Enderman sound, Silverfish sound, Explosion sound, Egg sound, eating sound, sound of bones cracking after fall damage is taken.
Item Repair.
New Stronghold content (Portal Rooms with the end portal frames).

Server Construction

The other night I had decided to begin construction on a Minecraft server.

With patience and determination, as well as hours on end of a bright computer screen at one-o-clock in the morning, I have come to a stand still. It's momentary, however, working on a user-friendly enviornment, mind the nightly creatures and the onslaught of Creepers.

Like a number of other servers brimming with population and popularity, infamy or otherwise fascinating constructions, my server will include limited population, as well as a vast island to explore. Additionally, the simulation will include a clandestine fortress nestled between the mountains of the island, allowing respite and role play - if desired.

The simulation is not designed for any one thing in particular, but constructed for the simple purpose of users to enjoy themselves.

With Minecraft Server Host, RedstoneHost or Servercraft as possible candidates for beginning the simulation, I have continued work on the server, further developing other areas of interest around and about the island.

Dedicated servers are subjective, based off of prices and requirements, including and not limited to the amount of players available for play.

My interest is not popoularity, but of the player, and their ideas to share and develop the server into a community sharing like ideals and respect for one another.
