关于 ]NsR[ TF2 RTD Map Regulars

I plan to start getting some regular events on the ]NsR[ RTD Orange server(s). If you join this group you should recive an alert telling you that an event is about to happen and only the select member of this group will know to be there. So only join if your a regular and are interested in some hard core teamwork. Solo players need not apply. Also - please get a mic (if only to acknowledge stuff).
I will also update you as regularly as I can what the server is up to any downtime (and why) and - well any info I can gleam from the geniuses who admin and maintain it.

I plan to make this regular, so slots may be limited. It will be a first come first served basis.

First Pics of My New Map

I've not been playing much as ive been making this map. Its a real PAIN IN THE ARSE! But enjoyable too.

I wanted to create a map which had a mix of bright and dark places...areas only available to certain classes (although all can use them but will get bored) and areas you have to crawl too.

I wanted to use the sky more and introduce senties which can be built up in a 'safe place' and then triggered to move via tracks to a location fire for a while and then retract to be repaired.

New map coming soon?

I have sodding well bit the bullet and decided to stop moaning and just go and get on with making my own map. Its is absolutely based on my favourite (currently under the name of beta 5).

map building is a painfully slow, but astonishingly addictive pursuit. If I had children they would all be starving by now as I have nor been able to leave my computer working on this new map. It has little tricks and hidden spaces for different classes. One thing is that to get to a good point to snipe it cost you...a difficult crouch jump up a 400 ft tower to stand on a pedestal exposed to everyone - with in reach of stickies. Lots of cubby holes for dispensers. fat paths and routes to make the action zip along.

A very long tunnel only used if you crouch enables a one way trip to get behind the enemy when we are pinned in at base... all good things have a price tho as you are met with a enormous drop which will leave you will very low health --- unless your a scout with a FAN!

The Orange Server has been experiencing a lot of crashes of late and Desert currently believes it is due to the last 2 mods of the DC7 map. As a special treat - today he is installing Dustbowl for a day to see if it really is the map causing the probs. Distbowl with RTD?? Excellent! x
