After about 5 years of skirmishing with the spanish people we finally drove them out of the america's. Then we launched an assault on the spainish homeland and fought them there for about 15 years. Throughout that time spanish morale was at an all time low due to major defeats in the america's and due to that most of the battles we had were simple skirmishes, cause about 200 deaths, and an occasional 1,000 deaths. We only had about 8 major battles, we lost 5 of them due to the american poor strategy, and about 30 battles, losing 14 of them due to higher mexican morale in those armies or just simply bad terrain. So after much confilct and plenty of casulties for the spanish, spain's government has finally surrendered to us! They gave us all of their carribean holdings, we forced them to accept or give independence to all of their colonial holdings, and we emptied their bank by forcing them to pay the americans 100 billion dollars. Here are the casulties:

Texan Dead: 80,000 (We had about 150,000 soldiers before the war but we had a surge of volunteers of about 70,000 and an surpluss of the population of about 300,000)
American Dead: 150,000
Spanish Dead: 300,000
