Hello all! This is the first post detailing the transition from the old website to the new one!

For fleets who had hosted forums with STORP, for instance United Sector Taskforce or IKDF, this functionality is no longer provided in the same way. The old way was a long and complex process, one that was never really well communicated, needing a lot of administrative work and didn’t give much control to the actual fleet leaders. (That may have been a poor example, as both those fleets are led by administrators of STORP anyway!)

The new process is much easier, faster and better, allowing fleet leaders an increased amount of control and flexibility. While this may still require some administrative input, for instance, adding individual subforums to the various groups, fleet and RP leaders can create these groups immediately and have access to a basic forum ready to go. As time goes on, as well as when we receive feedback, we’ll be able to add additional functionality to these groups, at the forefront of this is an event editor.

In order to access the new group system, and set up one for your fleet or RP, just click on Fleet and Roleplay Groups at the top of every page.

Hello there! Welcome home!

This is the brand new STORP website, while most things are the same, some things are vastly different. You will notice first of all, we now have a proper intergation and front-end, this should allow us to put important content in a quick, easy to view area, and better show RP to the world at large!

Unfortunately we have lost some functionality, that while may have only been used by a small subset of members, it may still be quite jarring. The biggest loss is to the Subaccount functionality, this allowed our old forum to be much more immersive and let us post logs fully in character. Unfortunately backend changes made this solution impossible to continue forward.

There may be a few issues we notice going forward as well, things not working quite as they did before, but I trust we shall work our way through them as we always do.

Hi all,

Until recently I was under the impression that everyone was able to post announcements to the Steam group directly, like they can do with events. Then I remembered why I had disabled it.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I've re-enabled the "Discussion Forum" on the Steam group. You can use these to post Community Events as they will still go up on the front page and be quite visible there.

For general forum use however, please keep using the www.storp.org forums and website.

The Iconian War is finally behind us. The finale of the Iconian War, Midnight, showed that the Alliance is bold enough to be principled, and strong enough to truly uphold those principles when their backs are to the wall. Everyone on every side of that conflict is ready to move on from that dark time in the New Dawn of Season 11.

We will be featuring two new story arcs this season, the first of which features Chase Masterson reprising her role as Mirror Leeta. The team has taken the time to completely revamp the Cardassian story arc, and deliver a tight story that delves deeper into the Mirror Universe and their plots against the Prime Universe. Alongside that storyline, we’re also going to take a peek into how the Mirror Universe fared in their version of the Iconian War, and how that fallout could impact the Prime Universe. I’ll give you a hint; it went pretty well for them! They now have the tools and technology to really give the Prime Universe a run for its energy credits through two Deep Space Nine themed queues and a space battlezone in the Badlands. Luckily, the Terran Taskforce Reputation will give you the tools and abilities you’ll need to level the playing field and send the Terran forces back through the looking glass.

We’ll also be moving the main story arc along for Star Trek Online as a whole. With the war over, and a large alliance of varied species, the impulse to discover is re-emerging. We’ll be investigating parts of the Alpha Quadrant that haven’t been seen before, making first contact with a new species, and seeing the far reaching effects of our extensive use of time travel in the Iconian War.

The introduction of the Admiralty System will also give players the opportunity to not only put players in charge of a fleet and truly feel like an admiral, but to also make use of all the ships they have in their inventory. The system provides a strategic and tactical ship command experience, as well as significant rewards for your efforts. We’re excited to see this system finally make it live so the entire community can enjoy something we’ve been having a blast with internally for quite some time.

With the introduction of a brand new story line that brings the game forward, and so much new content to experience, there’s never been a better time to warp in and check out Star Trek Online. I look forward to seeing you all in game for the October 27th release of Season 11: New Dawn.
