Sixty years ago, a group of genetically modified humans mutinied from their commanders. They seized the starships that they were on, and set off to the far side of the solar system. They settled on the Jupiter moon of Europa. Over the next five years the small population of 500 grew to 4,000. This mainly due to other genetically modified humans hearing of the colony, and no longer considering themselves to be human mutinied themselves and traveled to Europa. The ships that they traveled on were taken apart and used to construct shelters. For the next 20 years, the Orion Colony continued to grow, though mostly through natural births. Wanting to ensure the security of their new home, a small highly elite and advanced military was established, with all citizens having to serve in the military for a minimum of five years. It was also realized that an army wouldn't be enough, so the Orionans (as they like to call themselves now) set out for the stars again. After another five years of development and resource gathering, a launched back into space. There they built a starport. Two more years passes and a space elevator was constructed, for ease of access to the starport. During these 32 years (year is approximately 2062 at this point), the Orionans stayed mostly to themselves. There was limited contact with the Trade Federation, as they both were on Europa. The Orionans bought what they couldn't produce on their own from the Trade Federation, but otherwise had little to do with them. The Orionans also considered themselves superior to Humans, and didn't bother getting involved in intersystem politics. Instead focusing on the development of the Orion Colony, which by 2070 had grown to a population of approximately 6,000. Between 2070 and 2090, 1,000 Orionans decided to use their military training and created a mercenary group. For those 20 years the mercenary group had hundreds of contracts, and never failed a mission. Showing the Orionans the effectiveness in combat. In 2090 the Orion Starport launched OS Prometheus, a large battleship built for defending the colony from space. With the launching of OS Prometheus, The Orion Council set a message out to the solar system offering limited trade to the rest of the solar system. The Orion Colony has chosen to no longer watch the solar system from the shadows, but instead to take part. Despite the humans inferiority to the Orionans.

Diplomatic envoys have been sent to all nations in the system, and to the UN. They will seek to open diplomatic relations with these nations. Their secondary goal will be to gather intelligence on each of the nations, and major powers on Earth. The envoy sent to the Trade Federation will gather gauge the loyalty of members of the Trade Federation, specifically those higher on the command list, and to see if they can be bribed. The envoy to the Trade Federation will also look into disabling their droid army. The Orion Council wishes for the solar system to know that while they are in fact inferior beings, the Orionans do not seek to conquer, but to live alongside.
