Steventechno's Community: The House of Electronic, Buildings, and Misc. Model Packs!

Welcome to the official Steventechno Community Group. This is where we can come together to hang out, post the occastional messages to each other and stuff. I'll admit, I do miss creating content for this game, but there is a large reason for it. Things like burnout from working so much, to tools not being maintained and reaching obsolecense, as well as my desire to no longer use Microslop Winblows.

This will be my "Community" going forward. Discord no longer suits my needs due to the recent controversies. I'm no longer on the platform, so I'll be here from now on. Reviving an old Community page that's been dormant for years.

⚠️ None of my addons are currently receiving any new content. You can thank the lack of maintainence from projects like "Propper" for not functioning correctly with current builds of SourceSDK.

Also do not ask help for setting up Propper for yourselves. if I can't get it working, Maybe none of y'all can. Especially under Linux. If someone figures it out, Let me know! ⚠️

S&box is finally out!

It's been years, Nearly a decade when I assembled my previous rig, Sasha 4 in anticipation for this game back in 2019.

I've been through so much between then. A terrible relationship, I've had my smell altered permanently with COVID, Witnessing the downfall of the US Society in real time. Seeing the world for how truly awful it is, and came out with PTSD but still alive.

And after all of that horror, We finally make it to the light at the end of the Tunnel. S&Box is here and I have a feeling this is going to be great. I have not played it yet, as I'm waiting the download right now, but I'm hoping this game can capture a sense of "new" and "wonder" the way GMod did back in the day. If not, well, At least it's finally real after all of these years.

I've waited for this game for literal generations. When this game was initially announced, All of GenZ were still small kids, Windows 7 was still useable, and living in the USA genuinely felt okay. not great, but life was good.

Now? Windows is unbreaable, GenZ are all adults, Gen Alpha are the new wave of Teens and kids, and the internet has become incredibly toxic. Conservative ideals have won the discourse.

Here's to hoping that a new era of Sandbox gaming, I can feel at least some light in these dark times. I know that was dark, but I do know I'm not the only one feeling this way in this day and age.

...Well, Let's play some S&Box on our own terms and hopefully find peace and solace in a new era of "Garry's Mod".

I know I've mention abandoning Discord in the past, but those reasons were stupid. With recent controversies with the platform, I've decided once and for all to just nuke it. You won't find me on there no more.

There are a load of reasons why we should ALL stop using it, but of course, despite it's dubious practices, at the end of the day, it's a useful tool for most people.

I'm not sure if I'll have much activity over here, as it was dead over on my former Discord community as well. but I do want to let y'all know I'm still alive and well. My creative mind is still having a hard time firing up. but as I work on myself, Nutrition and everything (I've been neglecting, which I read plays HUGELY into dopamine sensitivity) I have a desire to create again. I just lack the drive and motivation (and functional tools, I'm not sure if Blender can effectively replace Hammer).

I know new houses are FAR overdue. Especially after Buildings Pack 2. Anyways, Much love to y'all, Hope everyone has a great day.

Yeah. Right now they're on Damage control. They are trying to go Public, have shareholders and all of that so they want to look pretty before they sell out.
