SteamTrade Matcher is a tool designed to help you complete your sets of Steam Trading Cards, and fulfil your emoticons and profile backgrounds collections by matching your friends as well as other STM users duplicate items with yours. It allows you to instantly know which ones they might be willing to trade and what you could give them in exchange.

STM now back online with important performance optimization

Hey STM community!

The website went into maintenance a bit earlier today to address recent performance issues.

I've just deployed some important optimization fixes and brought the site back online. You should notice a significant improvement in how quickly the various STM tools run, and it should also resolve a number of issues related to inventory refreshing.

To help with the increased traffic during the sales, I’m also running an additional server to boost overall performance. Thank you to everyone who donated to support the website <3

It might take a few minutes/hours for some people to have their inventory properly updated on STM after the changes I made. If for some reason it still does not work properly after some time please comment right below and I'll manually check your account.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on maintenance and analysis since the sales started and made several changes to improve inventory refresh rates. These adjustments aim to prevent issues with inventories failing to update due to Steam’s strict polling limit policies.

To address this, I’ve purchased more IPs to increase the number of queries. However, some additional tweaks were necessary to avoid getting locked out.

Automatic refresh rates (publicly listed users)

Regular users get automatically refreshed approximately every 8 hours
Bots get automatically refreshed approximately every 90 minutes
The STM bot is usually always up to date as it tracks its own inventory live

Manual refresh (done by clicking the cache button on the button)

Baseline is still every 120 minutes
NEW: Tier 2 supporters ($10+) can now refresh every 30 minutes
As usual tier 3 supporters are able to refresh every 5 minutes
