The Official SMOD Redux Group

Note: Afason is not actually the creator of this group, it just seems that OneManShow has left which coincidentally ended up leaving me in charge. If you have questions about the mod, please don't ask me.

This is the official SMOD Redux Steam Group. SMOD Redux is a fan-made modification of the Half-Life 2 modification SMOD. It is intended to expand upon SMOD without changing it's core gameplay.

File Hosting Issues Update

Many players have reported file corruption and not being able to download Version 8. Until Filefront can fix whatever issue it is currently having, Version 8 is being hosted elsewhere. See the site for more details. http://sites.google.com/site/smodredux/home

Will there be any possibility of HL2 episodes now that HL2 uses the Ep2 engine?

when i try to use the giveall command i don't receive any weapons, and it says it's null(for example:Null:entity_flare)

Since I've installed Half-Life 2 from scratch *after* the update, my half-life 2 content.gcf doesn't contain the old maps. GCFScape just says the file is incomplete (even after I've grabbed Source SDK Base). Is there a fix to get the completed file?

Hi there, I have been enjoying your mod for a few years and been working on one smod-based mod of my own as well. I have encountered a massive bug on d2_prison_06 however, as it seems to be looking for textures unique to this map that does not exist. Apparently, this problem seems to be universal with the 215 version of the engine on this specific map as it happens in all mods using it.

Maybe the update screwed something up for just me, but I would like to hear from others as well.
