Currently Running: Portal

The 1st (hopefully) monthly Skrub Speedrun Kontest™ has officially begun! This month's game is Portal (run category - any%), and the person who posts the fastest recorded run before midnight on the 31st will be the monthly contest winner! There will also be real-time races for hype and glory both halfway through the months, and immediately after it ahs ended, for all who want to test their mettle in the head-to-head arena!

Timing for this month's portal runs should be done with the SourceSplit plugin for the LiveSpilt speedrun timer. I'll post instructions on how to time and record later today, along with my 1st run.

There is but one other rule concerning the contest; anyone participating must forego watching speedruns of the game from outside the group until the contest is over. This way we get to have our own evolvign meta of strategies and oneupmanship, rather than being boring and just immediately copying the World Record strategies. While this rule is obviously unenforceable, I hope everyone will adhere to it since it shoudl result in a more fun experience for all.
