I really can't be sorry enough that I'm doing this on such short notice but after a week of no competitive TF2 b/c of a borked UGC site, I feel more confident in making this decision.

I'm leaving the HL team and not for any reason you'd think. I didn't find a new team, or think i suck and wanna train or any other superficial TF2 reason you'd expect from me. I'm leaving for real life reasons. I'm entering a phase of a couple months where the amount of hours of free time I have in a week is in the single digits. I have school from when I wake up to 4 and then lacrosse practice until 7. I then have homework and chores basically until I sleep. Since I have no availability on weekdays, my job is stacking me with 9 hour days on the weekend. Any free time I have on weekends is taken by community service that I need to do to graduate high school. Because of this I really can't have video games keeping me up until 10:30 most weeknights. I have to wake up at 5 in the morning every day bc I share a room with my little brother who is a crazy person. I have insomnia problems that make it rough to fall asleep within 2 hours. Consistent 4 hours a night of sleep isn't healthy at all. I can take sleeplessness, but the consistency is killing me.

I rememeber when idemised, Banshee, munchyBanana and I first created this team and I'm so proud of how far we've come. From being a collection of FP misfits at the bottom of iron to mid steel is a great jump and we've earned every step along the way. Maybe I'll come back in the summer when all is said and done, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. You might see me playing TF2 here and there but thats mainly just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around on dustbowl to deload after a long day. The hours I spend at school and lacrosse themselves aren't hard, but the length gets exhausting. I really don't want to add competitive video games to my plate right now. I'll keep in contact w yall and might be able to be a last-last-last hope ringer for y'all, but I really need to get that free time back

As for 6s, because I like the format so much more, I'll finish the season, but I'm gonna be done when it's over.

Once again, sorry for surprising you guys, and especially Cat for not telling you first. But after a night of a couple of 8 hour sleeps and a sudden rejuvination of my own health, I realize that sleep is such a higher priority than video games right now.

Call me back in summer and ask me how I feel then because I might be down to rejoin.
