I've been playing Counter-Strike since 1999, and Militia has always been one of my favorite maps. I've thoroughly enjoyed the CS:GO rendition of the map. I main Militia and have met many great friends who do the same. The Militia community will never rival the Dust crowd, but we're a good group.
I've talked with a few dozen Militia players since the update and, almost uniformly, we hate it. Simply put, the map is far too condensed and an unbalanced nightmare. The CTs get dominated. In the pre-patch version, the CTs aimed for 6 wins and often a good team could get away with 10-11. Now, 2 wins seems to be a great achievement.
The CTs can no longer reach barn without being exposed. Crackhouse can get easily pushed, and is extremly hard to push out of. Tunnels is your best option but if the Ts shut that down, it just becomes a slaughter worse than Gallipoli.
Militia received no visual upgrades, no new textures, nothing like Nuke or Inferno. Rather, in my opinion, Valve simply butchered a fairly balanced map and left quite a few fans dismayed.
Militia was my thing. But the map I love is gone. If any Valve dev reads this, please fix this mess. I'm really disheartened by this whole thing.

Edit: When I say the map was balanced, I mean by hostage standards. The Ts had a natural advantage but a good CT team could often over come that. Trust me, I played the map hundreds of times in competitive and found this to be very true!
