I can only sum up this 'bugfix' that started it all in 4 words, 'he feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird'. ICYMI; These changes to The Hillbilly were unintentional, not mentioned in patch notes, and were most likely caused by BHVR's spaghetti coding. These changes included; a shorter camera pov, lower weapon pov[imgur.com], and many messed-up animations that would clip through your camera, making him him feel clunky and nauseating to play as.

"Added the overheat mechanic. Using the chainsaw will now build up heat. When reaching the maximum amount of heat, the chainsaw overheats and cannot be used until it has cooled off." "Updated most of his add-ons." Where to start, well first off; Overheat (most of the time) didn't even do anything, and when it did it just turned newer players off of him. The add-on overhaul was somewhat needed, although it introduced multiple add-ons to lessen the effects of overheat, which worked just as well as a rhetorical question pretty much.

Grateful for new, updated, & somewhat fixed Hillbilly animations, but it took the devs roughly 637 days to catch on and actually do something about it. W devs.

"While in Overdrive, the chainsaw is enhanced. Chainsaw Charge and Sprint speeds are increased, and Chainsaw Sprint cooldowns are reduced. Overdrive lasts for 20 seconds." Four years after overheat, the devs decided to finally rid of the outdated mechanic, hence; Overdrive. If you think about it, Overdrive is pretty much the complete opposite of Overheat. all I can say is they fumbled hard balancing this killer who's been left untouched for a really long time. Sure, they showed him some love, but in a drastic and wrong 'over-tuning' manner.

Hillbilly hotfix when? :) Operation Health for DbD when? :)
We are actually expecting a Operation Health[deadbydaylight.com] sort of patch this year. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as Rainbow Six Siege'!
