#NES Alphabet Soup - Up To The R's!!!

Our #NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) Alphabet Soup series is up to the R's now. We're taking a break for the rest of the year but here's what we have so far:

When we return in 2016, we'll be featuring games like River City Ransom, Rygar, Wizards & Warriors, and Xexyz... Along with random 8-bit selections from the NES library. We'll skip some of the obvious choices like Super Mario Bros because, well, everyone knows those games already! =oP

Once the series is complete, I'm thinking we can feature select games for extended gameplay sessions and, who knows - actual completion maybe! After that, back to the SEGA Genesis and maybe some SNES. I'm hoping to get SEGA Saturn emulation going so we can jam on some of the lost treasures of that era, too.

Yes, I'm a bit of a SEGA fanboy. =oX

Know your gaming roots! GH101 with Spydersvenom and Jamalais is fantastic. Tonight's live show is covering microcomputers with special focus on the ZX-Spectrum (pronounced "Zed Ex" Spectrum). It's making me nostalgic as hell. Word has it that special guest Mark "Megatron" will be interviewing the developer of Lazer Squad over at http://www.retrogamegeeks.co.uk/ (RGG).

I can't wait for the coming #RetroFriday gaming sessions. Hope to get lots of videos up and help you guys discover games you may have missed. Dizzy, original Alone in the Dark, Herzog Zwei, NEStalgia, and a bunch of others are in my personal queue.

I'll also revisit Risk of Rain, Rogue Legacy, Steam Marines, Space Hulk, Typing of the Dead: Overkill, and a bunch of retro-style games, tributes, and classics. So many great games to choose from.. And I just picked up more stuff from GOG, Steam, and Humble Bundle. Oh man... The sleepless nights are coming! =oX

Any requests, guys? Definitely open to anything SEGA and NES!
