关于 Quindali Pugs

RULES

Quindali Pugs do not have gameplay or offclassing rules. Everyone who plays here is expected to use their best judgment and play to the best of their ability. Trolling or throwing is not allowed.

If Quin has to talk to you personally about something, consider it a warning that can lead to being kicked out of this group or banned at Quin's discretion.

Admins: Quindali, squid, Walrex, monsta, fx, donovin, reyylin, and froot

I. Stranger Danger Policy:

do not distribute mumble or server info without permission from an admin
current members who invite non-members to play may be kicked from this group if the invitee is a troll, toxic, or otherwise not following the rules or playstyle of Quindali Pugs

II. Joining the Pug:

events will announce when pugs are beginning -- please enable steam notifications
the first 12 people to join mumble will play, after 12 will be reserves waiting to play
reserves will fill slots in the order they joined and must be in mumble to play
members of this group have priority to play over non-members, even in first 12

III. Selecting Medics:

if no one volunteers, medics will be chosen by raffle
another player can volunteer to sub out a chosen medic after the raffle
once you have played medic, you do not have to med again for the rest of the pugs that day
if you are chosen to medic and refuse to play, you will be banned from playing Quindali Pugs

IV. Picking Teams:

the medic who wins the midfight will choose between first or second pick
the medic with first pick will choose one player
after the first pick, each medic will choose two players at a time until only one remains

V. Choosing Classes:

the order in which players are chosen does not impact who has priority to choose a class
players may switch classes at any point in the pug EXCEPT the medic

the seven year itch

hellooooo you loyal, still-in-quindali-pugs-steam-group fam :)

I had an itch and reinstalled tf2 recently. a few old old friends and I played with Hunter (who is now INVITE?!), nomi (still invite, not washed yet I guess), and a few other pug members tonight. it was still so fun, even though we were getting roflstomped and only hitting sub-200 dpm. I've also forgotten what most locations are called and how to change my loadout.

after the pugs, it was really nice reminiscing about the old days--the map rotation, med fights at mid for first pick, members waiting to play in mumble, the admin shifts from me to ryan/walrex/donovin (also INVITE now :O) to fx, and so much more. it was also great hearing how people are doing, so many years later. both in tf2 and real life.

most of you guys know I'm cheesy af and also such a sucker for nostalgia, so I wanted to reach out and just say hi, and that I miss you all. it really warmed my heart to hear how much of an impact this pug group had on some people, because it definitely did on me. if you're so inclined, feel free to leave a comment on this post--I'd love to hear from you all and I think it'd also be a nice memento for this point in time in all our lives. I have a steam group for my old team and I love being able to go back and read ♥♥♥♥ like this that we wrote before. :)

this group has always been more than just about tf2 for me; it was a community. I made so many great friends and got to know so many truly wonderful people through these pugs, and I just wanted to reach out again to wish you all well. I hope that everyone is happy and enjoying life; and if you're not, I hope you know you're not alone and believe that you can and will get to wherever you want to be eventually.

Hi everyone,

I haven't been around for a while and hope you're all doing okay. I know COVID-19 is hitting some harder than others, which is why it's even more important to have a community and a fun place to relax.

I apologize for being absent and failing to communicate well with our admins -- tragicservers apparently moved my game and mumble server to new IP addresses months ago and I didn't realize. The admins thought our account was cancelled, and I didn't know pugs stopped.

I realize quite some time has passed and I'm writing to ask whether people still have interest in playing Quindali Pugs. If yes, we will set up the new game server and start hosting pugs again ASAP. If you've all moved on and don't think you'd play here anymore, then I should probably stop paying for these servers.
