Prison Break RP

This Prison Break Mod gets its inspiration from the 'Hosties' CS:S mod, however it is very different.

The main idea behind this mod is for it to be as realistic as possible. This means firstly that there are no longer guns hidden in cells.

All important doors are operated by keycards. However Prisoners can steal guards keycards to get through doors.

When you first join the server, you are taken through a scenerio depicting why you are in prison.

CTs have lockers that they can store their weapons in. When a player leaves, their guns are stored (If a T has any weapons in his cell) in a database, and the guns are restored when that player joins the server again, so that continuity can be held between sessions.

You can level up your strength, agility, and other stats by excercising and what not. These stats give you different abilities in game, such as extra health, and faster movement.

Voice chat is localized, such that you can only hear players near you. You can change your voice mod (whisper, normal, shout) such that you can conspire as Ts, etc. No longer will you be trying to order a prisoner around in a server full of screaming 8 year olds.

New Mod Direction

Hi everyone!

I have decided that instead of creating the mod as a plugin for CS:S, it will be created as a stand alone HL2 mod.

Depending on if we are fortunate enough to have a server donated to us, I will also be running the mod as it is (plugin for CS:S) until we have a playable stand alone mod.

Since it is going to be a stand alone mod, I am seeking a team of people to help create the mod.
At the moment I am looking for a number of advanced as well as not so advanced modellers to help make the mod original.
If you have modelling skills, please comment here or privately message me!

Server

Hi all,

As you may have noticed, the server has unfortunately been down the past couple weeks.

So here we are again! If you have a server in Perth, WA, and are willing to donate it to this mod, please message me or leave a comment here, something like that.

If we cannot get a server, we will be taking donations from anyone willing.
My guess is that a server will be approximately $50 - $60 a month (This is at hypernia, which unfortunately means BigPond customers from Perth will lag). If we manage to raise more than that over a couple months, we will definately consider changing providers such that Perth BigPonders don't get the short end of the stick.
