Hey, today I come with some unfortunate news for the status of PhoenixCraft. The current ongoing downtime has clearly highlighted the fact that I simply don't have the time to maintain the technical areas of the server to a sufficient level. The current downtime honestly isn't the biggest issue we've ever had by a long shot but it still took us far too long to even handle at all, which is clearly an unacceptable maintenance schedule. Due to this lack of time on my behalf to manage the back-end of the server, let alone my lack of community presence, we have decided to end PhoenixCraft. I'm afraid we will not return from the current downtime of the server.

It's a shame to bring this news but nor myself or Bree feels that the server can be maintained at a suitable level on my continually worsening time schedule. It's a shame to see Phoenix end on the low note of this downtime and whilst it was still in quite a poor state with many missing planned features. However that is what it is come to and is just what we'll all have to accept.

Lastly, I would like to thank all of the players and generous donators over the past 2 years who have kept PhoenixCraft alive for so long, the community is what made us. I'm sorry to you to that we couldn't continue the server for your enjoyment any further but all good things must come to an end, unfortunately. I would also like to thank all of the many willing hands throughout the staff team over the years, not only the current participants. Everyone who played a staff role for any period over the years has helped us greatly along this journey, ensuring we thrive and survive through community management and rule enforcement. Even though the community may treat it as a thankless job that should just be a free and perfect service, I would like to say thank you on the behalf of all of those you have helped. This especially includes Bree, who this server owes a lot to, we wouldn't have lasted even close to as long as this without her help. I hope you can all appreciate the time she put into the server for no true reward, for which I at least thank her greatly.

Thank you all for the experience over the years, I'm sure we've all learned a lot and created some interesting memories. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your lives.
