"Dropping into Hell since Pearl Harbor"

Hello my name is CAPT. T.Purse and im with the 20th M.E.U we currently comprise of one regiment the 1st Paramarines. The paramarines were first introduced in ww2 and never did a drop in the pacific campaign but did see combat in Guadacanal and Iwo Jima. With the U.S army stopping their two major airborne divisions from paradropping the USMC needed a force large enough to drop behind enemy lines and act as a "very loud and deadly" force which could do naval invasions with normal marines, utilize static line paradrops, and sabatoge enemy locations. The only reason why they decided to make this and not have "Raiders" do this job is because they were not large enough to do major damage behind enemy lines. Thus the USMC called for the 1st marine parachute regiment to be reactivated.
