Just wanted to take this time and wish everyone a safe and happy new year!

I want to start off the New Year right and make what I feel are positive changes for the organization that take us in the right direction. Institute a proper form of recruitment, get our members communicating and playing together, and finally build a stronger foundation. Based on that I will be conducting another round of purges within the organization. Let’s finally have our member list reflect our true numbers. We still have far too many inactive members (some for over five months), and those who have yet to do some or all of the following:

- Join us on Discord
- Bookmark or post in the organization thread on the RSI forums
- Reply to my welcome letter
- Set our organization to primary
- * Remove conflicting affiliations (XPLOR, TEST, CORP, etc..)
- Join the BSC Steam group
- Join us on voice chat
- Play any games with us
- Participate in Star Citizen Community HUB voting

I can see not keeping up with Star Citizen during pre-alpha stages and lack of content, but at the same time why commit to or join a group if you never intended to participate? No need to even join an organization at this stage then. It equates to joining a sports team but never showing up for practice or even the stadium during pre-season.

I cannot speak for any of you, but I want to play with friends and those I communicate with and get to know. Not strangers who don’t play games with us, join us on voice chat, or fail to respond to any org communications.
I’ve also noticed that we have many members here who share the same titles in their Steam or games library but never play together. If you have Arma 3, ARK Survival, Helldivers, Fractured Space, or Osirus: New Dawn join us in a game or two. Play a mission in Arma 3 with the group, build a small home on one of our ARK servers, drop in a Helldivers game, etc. Aside from Steam many play Battlefield 1, World of Tanks, World of Warships, or even Starcraft 2.

If you do not want to participate with the group why are you here? This especially holds true for anyone with a higher rank within our organization. It’s our responsibility to get to know those under our command. We’ve had new members join and yet those with higher ranks and commanding officers are nowhere to be found. It sends a poor message and shows lack of interest or commitment.

Finally, if your PC is not up to playing the latest games just throw up a Discord or forum post once in a while. Join us in a Star Citizen conversation in voice chat. Even if you are already committed to playing on a different game server, stop in one of ours just to say hello and check things out. Bookmark the organization thread on the RSI forums. Send a PM to your fellow shipmates if serving on the same Battlestar. Introduce yourself, especially if you hold an officer rank.

All I want is some form of participation which is not asking much from those who willingly chose to join our organization. Let’s make 2017 not only a great year for Star Citizen, but for Battlestar Citizen as well!

*Based on 40 minute system travel times it will not be feasible to play with other organizations using the same character. We are traveling too far out in one direction that it could take several hours in real time just to make the trip.

If playing with another org using an alt character you will fall behind on our journey and have to catch up with no escort. On top of that, you will let those down who were relying on you to be there. If your plan is to split the time in any way you cannot hold any type of command rank in our fleet.

For security reasons I cannot allow affiliations with massive orgs or with ones with conflicting interests such as exploration. Should we find a Bengal or Pegasus carrier that information would be worth a fortune to these larger orgs with a pooled bank (XPLOR, TEST, CORP, etc.). I will not put committed members at risk of being sold out. Same goes for the location of the Oretani system and jump point.
