Thanks for visiting The Roughnecks group page. Join this group to keep up with announcements, additions to the server, and any chit/chat from the roughneck team.

-We have a super fast download server dedicated to the maps, mods, and sounds!

The maps consist of new ones as well as the classics. I keep it pretty fresh so there should be something for everyone to enjoy.

-The server runs with High Kill, Low Gravity & special weapons.
Any additions will be posted in the announcements section above.

Lastly, we have a great group of helpful people here, so there is always a ton of laughs and a boatload of fun!

A brief history:
I have been playing HLDM for about 17 years now.
Over the years, I have acquired several games through steam, my favorites being HL2DM, the Splinter Cell chapters, Portal 1 & 2, and of course the rest of the Half-Life franchise!
I have always wanted to try my luck at running a server....so I finally jumped in.
It originally ran 2012 to 2017.....and now it's back in summer 2022.

Moderators for this group and the server are currently the same.

Resolved Fast Download Issue

Roughneck's super fast download is now fixed.

Even if you have never been to the server before and have to download everything, I think it's going to be fast.
I just added about 30 new sounds I edited, and they downloaded in about 2 seconds.
More maps going up, songs, and then more sounds as I find them. If you have a favorite clip you want to play, let me know. It's pretty easy to get edited and added. Having the new fresh sounds are fun to play with.

High kill, Low grav, sounds are working, multi-jumps, throwing crowbars, cbomb's, and even my favorite....the Translocator!

To see if you have had your account compromised and friends messaged then blocked, go to your full friends list, click on blocked, peruse through that list.
you can select some or all and unblock if you want.
I had 51 friends blocked 8 days ago. i obv. did not do that.

At further looks through my account, i have lost 50 friends. They may be blocked.....
If you know someone that mentioned i unfriended them and blocked them, let me know.
I will change that. I don't have everyone memorized....lol

Apparently someone messaged some people on my friends list and then blocked them.
I have reaquired my account and am resending friend requests.
Sorry if you got annoyed by any messages by me.
If you know anyone that is messaging you about voting for their team, try to find an alternate way of contacting that person.
Email, text, another friend that may know them personally.
I was lucky and my password was not changed. It is now much stronger.
Reach out to me, here, neolantis@gmail.com, text....
I don't want to see anyone messed up after establishing so much time in steam.

Yeah, I just played a few rounds (until my mouse ran out of battery) and the most people on the server was 6 (including me) If you could get a server up and running as well as get the guys in this group to play, it would be much more fun!
