#5: When two Medics heal the same person, it slows down their Ubercharge build rate. If there are no other team mates available, it's better to heal your ally Medic.

#4: Unless you're going Medic or Engineer, do your Engies a favor and upgrade a Teleporter for them before switching back to the class you want to play. I suppose this is two tips, since what I'm also advising is: at the start of a round, if you're going Engie, don't bother upgrading Telepoters! Every second spent on upgrading your Teleporter is a second taken from upgrading your Sentry. You're not allowed much setup time (some maps don't have any) and when the enemy rolls in, they'll just destroy the Teleporter and move on - your team needs that Sentry Gun to be ready to go. Do build a Teleporter, but upgrading it should be the last of your priorities.

#3: If you see an enemy with sparkly stuff trailing off their feet, there is an enemy Teleporter nearby! Alert your team or find it yourself, and take it out.

Another Teleporter tip: Never stand on a Teleporter Exit! Entrances have an arrow pointing towards where the Exit is located; Exits don't. If you stand on an Exit and an enemy passes through it, you will be telefragged (killed) in order to make space for him. I don't just mean enemey Tele Exits, either - Spies can disguise themselves and take YOUR Teleporters. Some will Sap the Entrance to bait you into standing on the Exit so when you remove the Sapper, he passes through and telefrags you. So do not stand on them!

#2: Partly mentioned above, always be on the lookout for Spies! You don't need to be a Pyro to spycheck. Watch out for team mates not firing their weapons, coming towards your team from an unusual direction or trying to maneuver around you - they could be Spies. Scouts moving very slowly or someone with the name of a dead player (or yours!) are also Spies. If you're on a small team, keep track of which classes you don't have; if you hit TAB and don't see a Sniper on your team, an ally Sniper is an enemy Spy! Also listen for death screams and pay attention to the kill feed in the upper right hand corner - they will assist you greatly in defending against Spies. If you see a Scout moving quickly or double jumping, someone firing their weapon or an ally Spy not wearing a paper mask, then they're clear (when a Spy disguises as another Spy, it puts a paper mask on for BOTH teams).

Another spychecking tip: When you see a Spy die, make sure you're not at full ammo and then walk over the weapon he dropped. If your ammo isn't refilled, he is still alive! He is using the Dead Ringer - a powerful watch that allows him to fake his death. Patrol around and listen for the very loud decloak sound it makes.

#1: Make use of your compression blast as Pyro. This is the alt-fire button (default as the right mouse button, also called M2). This button does something for every class except Soldier, and for Pyro, it's the compression (or air) blast. It's a function of every flamethrower. It expends a small amount of ammo to blow a blast of air and it has multiple uses. Firstly, it extinguishes burning allies. Secondly, it can blow enemies away; this can be used to save your team from an Ubercharge or to blow an enemy into certain death (many maps have environmental hazards like bottomless pits, trains and sawblades). Finally, the best thing about the compression blast, is it can reflect projectiles; against sticky bombs, it just shoos them away, but against all rockets, all arrows, grenades, baseballs, jars of milk or Jarate, or flares, it turns them into your own, turns them around and increases their damage. On top of using your flamethrower to Spycheck, the pest controlling Pyro is an Engineer's best friend!
