BIOGRAPHY

The Immediate Response Force (IRF) is part of the NATO Response Force (NRF) which is a highly ready and technologically advanced multinational force made up of land, air, maritime and Special Forces components which can be deployed quickly to wherever it is needed.

The Immediate Response Force itself is designed to provide the initial response to a crisis and is not scaled to be a stand-alone force for all but the smallest operations (in a gobal perspective).

It consists of a joint force of up to 13 000 high-readiness troops able to deploy at short notice to threats against NATO sovereignty.
If further land, maritime or air capabilities are required, they will be drawn from the Response Forces Pool (RFP) which consists of units of around 15 000 follow-on forces with a broad spectrum of military capabilities encompassing command and control, combat and support, which can supplement the Immediate Response Force when necessary.

Important Information:
· As part of NATO[armedassault.fandom.com] the Immediate Response Force is also an integral part of BLUFOR.*
· All members have to be able to speak basic English (somewhere between levels A2 and B1 or better of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages [CEFRL][en.wikipedia.org])
· All members have to be able to make accurate radio calls[en.wikipedia.org].
· Strategy & Tactics are the key to victory and thus a major part of all NATO - IRF operations.
· Unit cohesion is crucial on the battlefield because loosing it allows OPFOR/CSAT as well as any other enemy to divide and conquer inevitably leading to defeat thus evoking and solidifying unit cohesion in all allied forces is of the upmost importance not only but especially in combined-arms operations.


* Playing OPFOR is allowed but only if the unit is deactivated. Violation may lead to a court martial.
