As indicated in the main group description, this group was created due to the necessity of finding solid team members to play with who are trying to practice, get better, and rank up in CS:GO. Smurfs and cheaters are a problem at Nova levels, and it's safe to say that we have all experienced the roulette draw we know as MatchMaking. Far too often, in solo-queue, we end up in a group with trolls or griefers who are using their secondary accounts to throw the match to get demoted so they can keep smurfing at low ranks.

With this group, I am hoping to recruit decent/good players who are actually trying to learn, get better, and rank up. Who knows, maybe we'll even enter a team into a Tournament one day. CS:GO has some of the best competitive gameplay you can find in a game, if played properly, and with the right team.

Here are some of the key factors of CS:GO gameplay we are focusing on within N2ishN:

- Team Communication: A headset and mic is a must in CS:GO, and is pretty much mandatory in this group. If you cannot communicate with your team - don't play. Using text chat is not sufficient, as not many players can maintain focus in the heat of battle, and also read text chat callouts. You can get a half-decent headset at walmart for $30, so there are really no excuses.

- Respect Game chat: This is huge, and ties into the above. Players need to know that a huge part of CS:GO is the sounds of the game. With a good headset at a reasonable volume setting, you can hear enemies scoping in/out, switching weapons, reloading, and walking from much farther than people even realize. Excessive irrelevant chatter will often make players miss these subtle queues that can completely swing a round in your favour. This is subtle but paramount, and players need to have the game sense to listen for sounds in clutch situations to try and determine where enemies might be. A cardinal CS:GO rule: If you're dead - shut the hell up!

- Map Study: Some people seem to think that Dust 2 is the only map in CS:GO. Granted, it's a fun map and is great for learning, but some of the other maps in the game are extremely fun. We do not want to always stick to one noob map, so if you join this group, please take the time to learn the other maps (Play offline with bots if you must - but please learn the maps). It's a sad truth that trying a new map for the first time in competitive will usually result in a loss - but it's worth it to learn the callouts of new maps in order to break free of Dust 2. A good idea is to party up with people who know the map you're playing, and ask them to show you the callouts. Most maps are pretty easy once you've learned the positions.

- Smart Strategies: Even at Nova 2 and 3 levels, it's common for people to just rush in to bomb sites, guns blazing. If you watch any pro matches, this never happens, and might be a huge factor in explaining why so many players with good aim still end up stuck in Nova hell forever. Get used to shift-walking and crouching to get to destination, all the while listening for enemies queues (see above), and then calling out as soon as you see or hear something. It is impossible to explain just how important this factor is. Aim will win you rounds, but strats and communication will win the game.

- Team Coordination: This ties into communication and strategies. There are seconds between each round in which strategies can be discussed for the next round. This time should be used to plan the next strategy rather than boast things like "omg did you see that headshot at squeaky?" Proper communication and strat calling is the key factor differentiating pro's from noobs.

- Team Positions: This will obviously vary with each match, but another key factor in success with CS:GO is the roles of each player on the team. In solo-queue games, you'll always see rounds where a bunch of noobs buying 3 AWP's and try to rush A Long on Dust 2. There is never a circumstances where more than two AWP's are needed at any given time. I would go as far as to say that even two AWP's is too much, depending on the map. Each team should have a designated AWPer/Lurker, and the rest of the team should avoid scoped weapons (unless you're actually good with AUG or SG 553).
