On hiatus until further notice

Howdy folks!

It's been a while since I posted an announcement and I apologize for my lack of attention. Towards the end of the season I was very focused on finishing up school and now that it's finally all wrapped up, I can think about TF2 again.

I would like to thank everyone that participated last season. It was a bit rough at times with personnel issues and some heartbreaking losses. Ultimately we finished 3-5 on the season. Everyone played their best and I really appreciate your continued devotion even though morale was low at times. I want to specifically acknowledge the members of our combo for their ability to work as a team in the face of adversity. Dubbs, Bluefire, and Proto were at the top of the list on the MVP vote. Instead of recognizing one person, I decided to recognize all of them. Because they work so closely together, their success are all tied together. Great job guys. It's always a pleasure to play with you.

Looking forward, I am making plans to field the Mackerels once again in the fall season which should start sometime mid to late August. No dates have been set at this time but I will let everyone know when the dates are firm. I will also be going around to check who will be returning sometime in late July. In the meantime, I have shut off the team TF2 server to save myself some cash. The mumble server however is still active and you are free to use it for other games or whatever.

On a final note, Benji has informed me yesterday that he has finally found a team to call home in the silver division where he will be playing scout. Challenging yourself and moving up in skill level is something I highly encourage everyone to do. While it saddens me to see him go, I am excited at this opportunity for him. If you get a chance, congratulate him on his achievement. Good luck out there Benjamin.
