The M249 light machine gun (LMG), also known as the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), which continues to be the manufacturer's designation, and formally written as Light Machine Gun, 5.56 mm, M249, is the American adaptation of the Belgian FN Minimi, a light machine gun manufactured by the Belgian company FN Herstal (FN).


All fellow M249 enjoyers are welcome here, HOWEVER, it is required to have unlocked the achievement "M249 Expert" in CS:GO in order to be accepted in this group.

A few M249 commandements:

1: Tapping at long ranges thou will.
2: If spray thou must, remember the shape of the C thou shall.
3: Thou will utilise the close range 1 shot headshot capability of the M249 wisely.
4: Thou shall drop any weapon if thou can pick up an M249 instead.
5: Thou shall tilt thy enemy till they find salvation in the M249 themselves.
