This is the group for all the disgruntled Heisters who are unhappy with some recent actions by Overkill. Here, we can come and voice our concerns in a calm and civil manner. Why is this different from the forums? Here, we can see how many Heisters stand together. We may be the vocal minority, but all voices matter.

A NEW ERA

Hi everyone.

My name's Thucydides. I'm a friend of Tuffcooke and a former admin of The Vocal Minority. After TVM was dismantled due to Tuffcooke believing that it was beyond salvaging, I decided to start this up and have us try again.

We're not doing anything different from the original Vocal Minority. However, I'll make it loud and clear: THIS IS NOT THE "BANNED FROM OFFICIAL FORUMS" REFUGE. This is not a place to come and hate, spew slurs, or just in general be a titwad. This is a place for civil, polite, constructive criticism and conversation, not rumors about the official moderators or sending death threats.

Hi everyone.

I'm going to be disbanding this group in 24 hours as we've decided to restore the original group. If you have successfully joined the original group back, then please leave this group. If you have not, stay and you will be sent an invite prior to the disbandment of the group.

Oh, and the only way to delete a group actually is to kick everyone.

So that's going to happen to this group soon.

So be prepared.

Update on the main group & bans

Hi everyone,

It turns out that only admin can unban by inviting people back.

Whoopsie.

Anyway, I currently have Tuffcooke, Bloodninja, et al. working to unban people by working through the group history and sending out invites. It's a lot of drudgery, but we're hoping to get at least 50 invites out per day. We will eventually get everyone, but this is going to take time.

Once everyone is back, we can start reforming the main group and we won't need this one anymore.

Than just lock it, invite-only or such.

Might come in handy one day, and serve a purpose you can't foresee.
Maybe best leave it after all. As a cautionary tale.
Unless you are addicted to purging or prefer to pretend this never happened... Which it did.
