The Battle Engineer is an oddity of an engineer play style, but certainly an effective one. Equipped with a shotgun, a pistol, and either the Gunslinger or the Eureka Effect, the Battle Engie can turn the offensive tide of a battle in your favor. With the Gunslinger's mini-sentry and the plus 25 health, you became slightly more tanky and play a more offensive engineer than your usual "Turtle Engie". Even though you have an additional 25 health, you still are no tank. So to be effective, stick to flanking routes as to not take as much damage as you would going straight down the middle of the battlefield. Now even though the Eureka effect is crap for defensiveness, it has a great place in the Battle Engie's arsenal. When the round begins, put down an exit portal behind enemy lines. Now you can use the Eureka Effect to teleport between your spawn and your tele and attack the enemy like a ninja, lurking in the shadows. Overall, the Battle Engie can be a valuable partner for your team and a fun unorthodox play style to have fun with.
