Hey! This is the official group hoping to stand up for KotOR!

There aren't many people who still remember the old KotOR games. A long time ago, in a galaxy that we used to live in, there was a game called Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game was a mega hit, it got game of the year! Not so long after, a sequel was made. KotOR 2 was not as good due to the fact that it was rushed and incomplete, with many scenes removed from the game. A restored content mod, still being developed, is fixing this. It makes KotOR 2 a lot better, and in my opinion its overall storyline was better than the first.

HOWEVER: That is not what this group is about, to remain in the old KotOR days. This group is to help bring it back from the dead (And yes, it is dead, or at least dying). Bioware made a game a year back which was a supposed sequel to the games we love, but it flopped. it wasn't much of a sequel, due the fact that it was 1) not an RPG and 2) was 300 years later. The game didn't do very well and had to resort to being a free to play game to get more players. Bioware is going bankrupt now, but Obsidian is still there, the creators of KotOR 2. What happened when Revan left for the Unknown Regions? What happened when the Exile went to look for him? That's what we are trying to find out. We will need as much help as we can get, so let's get this group going. Invite some friends, replay the games, just try to get it to be a hit. I'll need your help, that's all I'm asking for.

Bioware, the creators of Mass Effect and *wink wink nudge nudge* KotOR 1 and TOR have announced that they are coming back to make a Star Wars game. So has Visceral, the creators of Dead Space. Also DICE, who made Battlefield, are making Battlefront 3. Those are all the details, I'll try to keep you posted about BW

I'm trying to keep this group active, but its hard to get more members without many to start off with. I've tried posting it on the bioware/obsidian forums, but it didn't help much. I've tried telling us to invite our friends and that helped a little bit but we still need a bigger group. if you have any ideas just say something in the discussions, thanks!

would love to explore in a new Kotor game so bad, for now all i can do is just play the game and watch videos like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sim9bL41KAk .. it's just not the same as experiencing it for the first time

also, since the book had such terrible reception, I'd expect bioware or whoever not to use it for a basis.

@Wulframm The book was literally made for tor. if they made a kotor 3 it probably would not take place 300 years later. they would probably say that the book and ToR are non-canon (or simply irrelevant) and start something anew. Also, Mitch. ToR wouldn't be a good choice for a basis of kotor 3 because it takes place such a long time after kotor 2. However, if you want anything that relates to the kotor story out of tor, i'd recomment the jedi knight storyline.

I would love if someone decided to make a kotor 3, I think they should make it sort of the same story line as TOR (I haven't played it because I didn't want to because it isn't called KotOR :) AHAH!!!!! I am thinking of righting dialogue for one, but first I would need a plot

i think we'd have to wait for TOR to settle down before we get a kotor 3. and the probability that
the game will follow the ungodly book is high. tor did..
