Java Developers help Java Developers

A group for Steam Java Developers. Tell us your story, what you are doing. Ask us questions, if you need help. I will try to provide some nice libraries and frameworks for you and of course I will try to answer your questions.

There are possibilities to train your skill, just like in a game. It's called pair programming and test driven development. Take an other Developer, connect with him. If you trust him enough (let him show you his github or sourceforge account), then you can join together an audio+video session (Skype/Teamspeak + Teamviewer).

You have written some awsome code? Share it with us, post your github-link or show us your finished product.

Why did you start a Java Community @Steam?
Well, I never thought of it but I have made contact with some players here, who are Server Administrators or SAP Consultants. I am an Java Developer and I thought, maybe there are more Java Devs out there playing Dota 2 or having at least Steam installed...

On December 14th, 2013 another Code Retreat is taking place all around the world.

It is an event about Code Craftsmanship where you can sharpen your skills but more important, find new ways looking at your code. You will learn probably new technologies and/or languages and you will make some very interesting contacts with fellow developers.

Hello, I am not myself a Java programmer but I am in need of someone with Java programming expertise to finish a map editor for an old game that went unfinished for unknown reasons and am wondering if anyone would be up to the task of finishing? A lot of its core features are in place and will have enough of it where you should be able to apply it to finishing the editor with ease, if interested add and talk to me, thanks
