● What is L4D2PL?

The L4D2 Pug League is an attempt to bring all players together under one roof. L4D2PL allows players to quickly and easily get games going, without the hassle of struggling to find 8, arguing over who will be captain, or worrying about picking teams. It automates many parts of pugging that many people find annoying. Players are required to download a client in order to play. I assure you that it will be worth it to download though.

● So how does it work and what are the benefits?

With L4D2PL you simply open the client whenever you want to play and when a new game is hosted, the client will tell you, no more nasty announcement spam. You will never see an announcement from this group about a pug lobby. There is even an option to put in your cell number for text notifications if you are a die hard pug star.

Sick of people trolling or going afk in your games? Yeah, so is everyone else. The league has built in report functionality, with automated time bans based on how many reports a player receives in a short period of time. Our moderators will strictly enforce the rules and will make sure it is a fun environment for everyone.

What's the upside for people who want to play more competitively than an average pug? The league will track your wins and losses, and has a leaderboard which updates after every game. At the end of each month the top 3 players are awarded prizes, and everyone's rank will be reset. If you don't care about prizes, then this feature won't affect you other than giving you more balanced games in the long run. If you are worried about being harassed because of your rank, don't be. Anyone who harasses another player will be dealt with.

● Can anyone Play?

Players from any region are welcome to play. At the moment we only support hosting NA and EU games though. Check out the links on the side of the group for more info. Feel free to ask any questions you have here or on the forums.

People are joining and leaving the client all the time. If people stuck around the games would get going pretty quickly. Just now I told everyone to stay, and in 10 minutes we got 10 people. Just join up and idle, even if the games aren't going when you join. By the time you play a mix and check back there will be plenty of people for a game.
