this is omething I had as an idea since I started playing Insects Infestation 1.1.1 alpha which was about a year or more ago and yes I got it when it was dead and am now the games best player. Anyways it is shaped like a starcraft 8 player map with four corners and four left right up and down areas, basically sort of like a reversed tic-tac-toe layout I guess you could call it. Anyway the reason this will be unique is because I am implementing a clever weather system for one thing, so random weather will happen the longer you stay on the map, it could get foggy, it could turn to night, it could get windy, it could get cloudy maybe, or turn into a rain storm if I can make that happen. The also most important thing about why the map will be interesting is the fact that the more territory you have the more powerful you are. Let's face it domination maps are boring and can take easily ten minutes or far less to win with the amount of players we get for the mod. so it will be an II game mod (kill all enemy queens is the objective of II game modes) and it will definitely last at least a good twenty minutes because the more parts of the map you own the more abilities you get. Not just upgrades will be obtained by creating and owning new spots, but also unique abilities like stamina mutation, which allows the entire team a gentle increase of speed, attack speed, stamina regeneration, and leg power which adds on to their already maximum abilities listed. Other bases may have things like abilities that allow you and or your team health regeneration and or carapace regeneration. Basically custom upgrades along with the games original upgrades making this map much more strategic but also much more difficult because I am placing a crud load of defense at the main species bases to prevent rushing. Expect more news soon depending on how development goes but right now I can honestly say it is only about 10% done over the course of about 4 hours already worked into it.
