Yes the dev is. But the dev has been unable to replicate a lot of the issues you guys seem to be experiencing. For example, there is literally no difference in the code between the "install" version and the "portable" version, so it makes no sense as to why one would work and one wouldn't unless you had some corrupt settings file or something attached to one and not the other. Have you tried uninstalling Idle Master completely then re-installing from the site? Or have you tried moving the portable version and running it from a different folder?

Yes, this will be optional in the next release.

I'm sorry that you find the program to be buggy, but please remember the following:
1) Idle Master is an application that I (and several others) work on in our spare time
2) It's designed to work as well as possible, but Steam is a dynamic website that has a lot of different nuances for different users (different languages, different countries, different settings) and thus may not work completely for 100% of users
3) Steam is constantly updating and changing differently for different users (see #2, above) which adds an additional layer of complexity on an already complex application.

From the majority of people I've received feedback from (outside of this support forum) the new version is working great for them with no issues whatsoever. Issues like yours will be addressed as time allows.

It would also be helpful if you posted error messages from your error.log file, if there are any.

Not sure what the issue is - the website's been up for over a week straight now with 0 downtime.

Also the website is only ever used to get the value of the cards you need to idle, so if it ever goes down you can switch the idling order to default in the settings and it will still work even if the site goes offline.

Please keep in mind that older versions of Idle Master won't be actively supported, so if you run into any issues you're on your own or will be told to upgrade.

I'm not going to re-write the entire application just so it can work with an operating system that Microsoft themselves no longer support. You may want to check out the older Python version at https://github.com/jshackles/idle_master_py that would be your only option for XP.

Windows XP is not supported, because Idle Master requires the .NET Framework 4.5 which is not available for that platform.

@Ivan: With 564 games left to idle, you're looking at 38 hours to get them all to the point where they would be ready to be idled for cards. Conversely using the old method of one game at a time, you're adding two hours on to the idling time of each game, so even though you'd start to see card drops within 2+ hours, it would take you 1,090 additional hours (over 45 additional days) to idle all of your games vs the new method.

We may add an option to allow the user to choose in a future update, but I'm genuinely curious as to why you would want to?

I've cleaned this thread up a bit so hopefully anyone reading it in the future can kinda figure out what happened. Since the issue is resolved I'm locking this thread.

No problem. Like I said, I like to keep the conversation civil here because I'd like to think we're all here to help. Of course if Idle Master were actually infected I would want to know about it, because it would mean that my development PC were somehow infected and latched on to the build process somehow.

As a precaution, I've forced a manual re-analysis on Virus Total[www.virustotal.com] and everything there is coming back clean thankfully.

Again, sorry for the trouble but I'm pretty confident Idle Master isn't to blame. Did your friend give you a direct link to the site? I've seen a few Youtube videos, blogs, and other places online that promote Idle Master (which is great) but they include their own revenue links that do stuff like install malware on people's PC (which isn't so great). Just a thought.
