Idle master does not give you cards. Valve/Steam give you cards, idlemaster is just a means to acquire them easier.

Free games do not drop cards for free. They give 1 card per roughly $15 USD spent in microtransactions(as a bonus on top of what you get for your money). The idea there is that if all free games could be farmed free then the cards wouldn't be worth dog turd by now (EVERYONE would've done it to death already).

If you check your badge page you can see any badge which has "card drops available" which are your remaining valid candidates for idle master,

Well any code which was used which is taken from Idlemaster is theft. So there IS that. Additionally, the scam he speaks of was from someone else attempting it on him using Idledaddy as a proxy.

If you are in any way connected to Idledaddy, I will ask you politely to get in touch with Jshackles, the creator of Idlemaster. I believe that I-D likely owes IM money in some way shape or form.

If you have ever refunded a game you will need to wait 3 hours to obtain drops. It sucks but there were some selfish jerks who refunded games post-card-drops and ruined it for everyone.

If you keep clicking the game "On" and "Off" it will still trigger. The trick is telling steam you're closing the game, as that is what trips the drops.

Pretty much that. It's safe as long as you follow that procedure each time.
