What cheat? IM just tells steam a game is running, that's it. It saves you the time and space of having to install all games and run them to get the card drops that steam would give you anyway.

Security apps aren't the most intelligent things, it's best not to take chances with them. Code changes all the time so we can't offer any guarantees.

It's unlikely that running a game twice will have any effect since it's normal for PCs to be able to run multiple instances of the same code at the same time. Extra instances will probably be ignored and they won't increase the time played beyond the first instance running.

Steam gives you the cards, these programs don't, they read your badge page to see which games have card drops and then they tell steam the game is playing until steam gives you the cards.

Looks like you disabled JavaScript in IE perhaps, reset IE security zones to defaults or change IE settings and include steam site as safe.

So long as there are card drops remaining for that game. See your badge page which tells you how many card drops are remaining for each game. Note: Steam only gives you half a badge set once per non-free game that you own.

Menu: File > Blacklist > click the game to remove, hit the trash icon.

The line around your profile is blue not green which means steam isn't seeing the game as being played. Close everything, sign out everything and try again - check your steam client to make sure it thinks the game is playing.

It's highly unlikely you'll get a VAC ban, but there is no point in taking chances. VAC is probably working from the moment you launch the game, it may even have code running in the steam client.
