I think the website is partly broken. My download never initiated (I had to force it by right-clicking), and it's constantly showing up in my Download list as "canceled" whenever I open FireFox. Honestly I have no idea what the fuck it's doing.

I think it's saying it's checking the version of one of Microsoft's DLL's (to see if it's newer than what its coded for) and it's coming back as true; i.e. the software is outdated...or the server hosting the file is just taking a shit.

a friend of mine downloaded and installed Idle master an hour ago.
it worked just fine for him.

i used Idle Master before and it worked fine too
but after i uninstalled it due to disk clean up
whenever i try to re-install, i can't seem to finish it.

the previous setup.exe (the first one i've downloaded) proceeds to the
install but get stucked in "idle master is saving your information"
and re-opening, logging out, restart, waiting for 1 hour or another re-install

would still get me stuck in "idle master is saving your information"

so i decided to download a new setup.exe from the website the same time my friend did.
mine gave the error in the imgur upload but my friend successfully installed his.

I just downloaded it from

https://github.com/jshackles/idle_master (Zip file)

With no issues.

@Cryatal Void .. try downloading the zip file from Github. I believe it contains all the files needed to install Idle Master with out trying to get them from the web. But I could be wrong.

@frisky .. No idea why you can not download the program or what Firefox is doing. I'm using latest Firefox (ver. 35.0.1) and had no issues.

I just tried to download from the website & it blew through the 450kb~ download fine; ran the setup.exe and it patched. I can only guess it was due to a temporary network problem.

Crystal: try running it again, it'll probably work now.

i restarted steam, pc, re-install and re-opened application and i still get stucked to this.

also, i waited about 5-10 minutes. is it possible that this waiting time would be longer?

I read a comment on the reddit submission about making sure you're logged into your browser when you set the cookie....or something; I skimmed over it because it wasn't relevant to my issue lol. The first time I ran IdleMaster I had that issue too.

I just closed down IM and restarted it and it cleared itself.

This is a complete shot in the dark here but it could be an issue with Internet Explorer or Steam Guard.

Have you ever logged into Steam on Internet Explorer?

Open IE and log into your Steam account at http://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/
If you have Steam Guard enabled it will ask you to enter the Steam Guard code to verify it is you.

After logging into Steam using IE try Idlemaster again.

what? when i click the link to the website it says it cant find the IP Address

that was 5 years ago....

and the program was discontinued .. no idea if anyone started it back up though
