2 games redeemed via key tested as well with same result.
If you want to look over my profile and inventory the game I purchased from Steam itself that was dropping before 2 hours was 12 Labours of Hercules II: The Cretan Bull.
Is it possible the 2 hour restriction is completely lifted? So far every game I've tested has started dropping at 0.2 hours.
Either way, I would recommend Idle Master be set to idle games individually in the settings - along with your preferred order - for best results.
Some people have interesting theories on my reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/3qicjc/2_hours_for_card_drops_removed_for_some_games/
Although no one else there has confirmed testing it themselves or not yet except one who it didn't work for but seems he tried before I noticed the change and was idling multiple games so that obviously impacts it as well.
Edit: one person it took 2 hours, awaiting more details for that one. Game was Divinity Original Sin, the one you're doing now.
Gifts can be refunded like everything else, but only if receiver agrees to.
Ones who aren't getting drops beforehand I've yet to find a common factor but still trying.
