With the latest couple updates Treyarch have broken the mod tools and made it harder for people to make and play custom maps. Pretty sure they have fixed the issue now with launching your custom maps from the launcher but having to manually patch the ff's was a rather large pain. I am pretty sure that is fixed now, at least from the launcher.

Black Ops 4:

So many people talking about Black Ops 4 having mod tools and expecting it to. I doubt there is a massive improvement in the tools in terms of a waw -> bo3 jump and given the current abilities of the bo3 tools I feel it is more likely that there will not be BO4 tools. What extra capabilities are you in need of? Perhaps suggest them for BO3 tool improvements.
I am pretty sure it was a big deal getting BO3 mod tools and they are not even complete. So I doubt they have any time to even look into making BO4 tools. Another statistic is that the time between WAW & BO3 was 8 years. The BO3 tools have only been around for something like 1.4 years. So in that respect I doubt it further. More so, I feel having another set of tools would break up the content and community further. Keeping it as BO3 but boosting the commnity is a much better approach at improving the custom cod modding community.
