Seleucid Empire

In the sand dunes of Meroe, the two armies faced eachother. This was the moment of truth. This was the first battle where the Seleucid forces would be facing off with the Egyptians. Here, on this battlefield, would be decided the future of two nations. I could feel the smell of the men`s sweat, hear their heartbeats; it was as if mother earth herself was holding her breath. They were all aware of what was at stake, and willingly risking their lives for it. Risking it for their nation, their families, their general. Sudden commotion struck me. As I looked down on the ground, I could see the tiny sand grits. But I could also see the big rocks upon the sand. And in one very special rock, lying on top of a pile, I refound my strength. For I was not the sand grit; and I was not an ordinary rock. I was that rock. And a rock is something to lean upon, but also something that could crush the others with brute force; should it fall upon them. With strong determination deep in my heart, I turned to my soldiers.

The troops were quickly ordered to advance, still keeping their formation. After taking the first ridge, I put my army to a hault. Seeing my superiority in manouverability, I quickly took control of the surroundings of the enemy army, my azat knights dutifully killing off the Ptolemaic cav. Now the Egyptians, and the Pharaoh, were caught in a death trap, with no escape. The "elite" Royal egyptian army was slaughtered within minutes. Such is the fate of those who attack the Seleucid Empire. Such is the fate of those who attack me. Seleucus I Nicator, the gods know that your sons have made you proud this day. Seleucid brothers; WE ARE VICTORIOUS!!!
