The Helldivers Academy has been founded on the principle that true glory and victory comes from collaboration and working together.

Every day, on every planet in every system of this galaxy, the brave men and women of the Helldivers Forces work together to bring freedom, justice and the peace to drink a hot cup of liberty in safety on our beloved Super-Earth.

But the galaxy is a brutal and harsh enviroment. Mankinds foes lurk underneath the ground, behind trees and rocks, and even overhead in the sky.

To truly survive the worst and come out on top with a precious 3-Star-Rating on a mission, a squad needs to work together perfectly.

To achieve this, the Helldivers Academy (or "Helldemy") aims to bring together veterans and new recruits, so that the great knowledge that has been accumulated over countless galactic wars may be passed onto future generations of Helldivers.

Hello fellow Helldivers. My name is Jon Graves and I was inspired by this post on r/helldivers to create this group.

Most of the times playing Helldivers I do very much enjoy helping out new recruits get their planetary unlocks; there is a kind of thrill and reward from jumping into a random mission and helping out a group of divers who are ill-prepared and, due to lack of experience, not very good at the game.

Now, we've all been there, we've all been new and incompetent at the game, and that is fine. Even now I would not consider myself anywhere near masterful at the game.

Much more important than pure skill are, in my opinion, to have a cooperative mentality and a willingness to improve. That is, to experiment and try out new things; to go outside of your comfort zone; to be patient with players who are weaker or slower than you; to listen and to learn.

My hopes are that by building this community we can create an enviroment where veterans can become teachers and new recruits can become veterans.

But I can't do this myself. I need you. The Helldivers Academy needs you.

So welcome, and lets get to work. :-)
