A message regarding our cause

About a week ago, this was a small project between my friend and I in which we just ran around and punched cheaters if there happened to be one in the server. We did not expect for this to bring so many people together under the same cause of defeating cheaters. For that, we are very grateful that we're able to give so many of you an outlet to support us in our fight.

With that being said, all of you have your own ideas of what to do and how to react in situations when there are cheaters around. (The discord server has proven to have tons of ideas when it comes to fighting) But with this becoming a more serious cause now, I would like to explain what my original visions for this project were, and maybe some of you can take these ideas and use them for yourself.


This is probably a very obvious one to anyone that is apart of this group. But nevertheless, we have a much stronger voice when functioning as a unit as to a single person. Getting these accounts banned will not stop the onslaught of cheaters sadly, but it will prove as a short blockade, which may end up falling in our favor if Valve realizes why there are suddenly tons of reports coming to their support desk.


By spawn camping, I do not mean spawn camping other players, but spawn camping the cheaters. In the times that I have ran patrols, the opposing team would typically let me constantly dispose of the cheater over and over again so they are able to have little to no effect on this game. Just like what the original poster says, these cheaters don't know how to use their melee weapon and will path towards you no matter what. Even though some people may accept your offer to spawn camp the cheater, other players may simply not care, and will kill you outright. When trying to do this you will die A LOT so be ready for that and don't feel like it's your fault if you can't do anything.


This one may seem odd at first but hear me out on this. It appears that sometimes players are not able to kick the cheater due to not enough people paying attention to the vote kick or the cheater tinkering with the vote kick system itself. If this ever happens, the next best option is to engage in containment of the cheater. What do I mean by this? In simple terms, the cheaters appear to hop servers if they are either 1.) kicked or 2.) too many people have left the game and the cheater has fulfilled their goal. With a full or nearly full squad of people that are willing to stay, the cheater will be bound to that game until the owner of the account is made aware and manually leaves. This method serves as a blockade for the cheaters and will keep them out of other players games at the cost of us dealing with them. This tactic should usually be reserved for the multiboxing cheaters as for they cannot clog other servers with them, and any player that joins that match will immediately be made aware that they need to leave.


Again I would like to thank all of you for contributing to this cause. Either if you're here just for memes, or you're here to try to make a difference we appreciate your work. There is only so much that we can do to try and help defend against this infestation of cheaters but if we even make the smallest change then we have done our job. Remember that although they are quiet, Valve is on our side and they may eventually take action if we keep this up for a while. Of course, I am open to criticism and other ideas because these have only been my observations on how theses cheaters function and I have no true understanding on how they work.
