Due to increased amounts of crime going on throughout the city the Mayor's office has allowed the NYPD to hire an additional 250 officers and support personel to the force bringing it close to 3850 officers and support personel to guard this fine city from the ganks and criminals

//OOC These 3850 officers and personel consist of non mob squad members these have no effect on the city or the RP this is just a number. It consists of 3700 officers and 150 support personel once the reform is done

FOR INTERNAL RELEASE - CAPTAINS ONLY
The NYPD is looking to hire from within its own ranks Twenty (20) officers who are eligible for transfer and who are experts with firearms into a special unit. there will be a signifgant pay raise for those who make the unit.

Two Bodies Found

On the Frontpage of the New York Times

MEN FOUND DEAD IN CENTRAL PARK

Today the NYPD reported that two bodies were found inside Central Park.
Both bodies were found hanging from trees beside eachother in Central Park. The bodies has signs of knife punctures all over the skin as well as gun shots in both knees to both men. It is not known at this time whether these were gunshot wounds and knife wounds were done before or after the men both died.

Written on both men's chest was- "Traitors to the cause"
