To address aphet's comment I didn't see until months later: Loot boxes are loot boxes even if they don't give out cosmetics. Loot boxes that don't require real-world money are still loot boxes.

Just noting that your review for VHS is incorrect. There is a timed shop, but most cosmetics can be bought with in-game farmable currency, and there are NO LOOT BOXES. What you're referring to are prize boxes, which are only purchasable with the in-game currency you get for playing the game, and are not cosmetics or anything like that, but are items like pop cans, candy bars, etc. that you bring with you into the match, like offerings in DBD.
