The Gaming Guild: Video Games, Technology, and Internet Culture

The Gaming Guild is an organization dedicated to unity within the SFSU gaming community, welcome to all game players, developers, artists, enthusiasts, and more. Our primary focuses are recreational multiplayer gaming, member networking through discussions of gaming news, and future involvement in SF Bay Area gaming events.

One of the key foundations when starting The Gaming Guild in Fall 2013 was to unite and network with other gamers on campus. The gaming community is strong at this campus, but the representation has been lacking for so many years.

Our motivation is to allow a place for gamers of all types and skill levels to meet and find those who are also interested in similar games. Our focus is on gaming culture as a whole with interests in PC, console, tabletop, board, and card gaming. Your interest is what fuels us. Bring whatever games you'd like to play! We're very diverse in what we are interested in and encourage members to share their interests with others.

1. Please keep postings appropriate and applicable to gaming. We encourage sharing information about gaming related things, but please keep off-topic posts, advertisements and personal sales out of this group (posting about gaming-related deals are fine, but buyers are at their own discretion).

2. Feel free to ask if people play a certain game, but be respectful to everyone in the group and keep the spamming to a minimal. We also encourage all skill levels within our club, so please do not discriminate against lesser experienced members. Requesting for higher level members is fine, but again, be respectful to those who show interest and help us maintain the community.

3. Feel free to use the announcement/discussion modules to post for games, but again, be respectful about spam.
