A group for gamers of all types who support the cause of gender equality, especially in regards to streamers/ youtubers in the vast gaming community.

This group is a positive community of gamers who advocate for gender equality in the gaming world. Many of the members are twitch streamers, or youtubers and their supporters.

Currently I feel the discrimination/ judgement of women as gamers is a problem, and I would like to see an end to this kind of disrespectful behaviour not just for female gamers but for gamers of all genders, with this in mind I have a statement I would like to make on behalf of female gamers.

Serious women gamers are a rare gem in the gaming community and often underappreciated or judged harshly based on their gender. We are often pegged as untalented, distractions, attention seeking, or just a pretty face.

I want to show the world that female gamers are talented, professional, enthusiastic, and deserving of respect and inclusion in the gaming community. All those who agree, are welcome to join and support my cause.

Welcome everyone,

I have changed the original group considerably because, I felt that while it was important to focus on the discrimination of female gamers, I wanted to be more inclusive of people of all genders. Gender based discrimination is not something that occurs to only females, and I want everyone to feel welcome and supported in this cause to advocate for gender equality.

Glad this group exists, as a gamer and a father - it makes me sick that females sometimes have to hide their identity in a game just so they can have fun and not be bothered. We are all gamers!
