Because we live in the real world, we don't want to play in it too!

Welcome to Gamers Against Reality.

Now, this isn't about people not wanting to live in the real world, but more about not wanting it in our gaming world too. We see fantastic looking games filled with ultra-realistic graphics, using real world locations and sometimes even using real-world actors too... well, as impressive as these technical achievements are - I'm bored of it.

The more realistic games become, the more they all start looking the same... and, as I live in the real world, I'm starting to become sick of it. So I want to see something less that real in my games - and this can be something thats totally abstract visually, to something that maybe is a little bit more colorful with it's characters. It might even just be some amazing otherworldly locations or down to some pixel art that doesn't even ATTEMPT reality...

Now Im not saying that visually realistic games shouldn't exist, or are immediately good or bad because of this (Nor am I saying that games that don't go for realism are either), but I'd like to present a place where games that DO go for something a little different (and are good too!) are highlighted and presented to those of us that like them.

So, if you agree - join in a discussion, let us know your recommendations, and maybe find some new ones yourself. If you don't agree - that's fine, enjoy your gaming. :)
