What is Feudal Life HCRP?

Glossary:

*//* = Out of character, this is for local use only NOT global
*...* = Used for looking at / interacting with other players and objects in an out of context way
Roleplay = Roleplay the format in which the game is played

Laws:

Each Lord/Lady, King/Queen may declare their own laws of their land which will be stated on their group page on the forums. Laws can vary in their intent, however keep them realistic and non offensive as possible.

Randoming:

When killing someone outside of war there must be a good roleplay reason to do so (Unless accidental - in which case both parties must agree it was an accident or roleplay event).

Bandits Are Not KOS Unless The Ruling Lord of The Area Deems So By Stating A Law

Role play Conversations:

When you want to stop a player for roleplay or when you want to rob or tax a player, you must roleplay it out accordingly.

Global chat is for role play tools only e.g advertising your wares, radio transmissions and war any other use of global is considered metagaming and OOC (except for OOC, *//* is not needed for global chat!).

To talk out of character put *//* before your sentence to signify it is out of context. This can only be used to help new players with their role play experience or technical problems/glitches.

“Letters” must be given in local chat and delivered either in person or by an appointed Envoy / Messenger. This cannot be OOC it must be delivered in roleplay. (Unless a radio transmission)

Metagaming:

Metagaming is the use of out-of-game information or resources to affect in-game decisions. E.g. If one player is robbing another at the store, then person getting robbed can’t then use anything aside from local chat or faction chat to contact help unless they they have a radio.

This is Metagaming and is not allowed.


New Life Rule:

Once your character has died then they must forget anything leading up to their death

Example: you are initiated on and killed for non-compliance. You remember everything until the initiation onwards

Once your character has been killed you are forbidden to go within 10 meters of your body unless the fight is over or 20 minutes has passed since your death, even if there is a restart

You may also NEVER go back and loot your own body unless you have been given permission from staff.


This is primarily for deaths at settlements, events and wars


Robberies:

There will be no drop weps, 10 secs. No you must RP it out such as “That's a nice horse, how about you give me the rains before anyone gets hurt!” (Must give at least 10 seconds to respond)

You are able to rob, but you don’t have a kill reason if they do not possess the item you want.

You can’t rob the same player repeatedly as this is harassment. Obvious targeting and harassment will have consequences for the robber.

Players are encouraged to screenshot the robberies so admins can deal with any relating complaints.

You can demand currency or items (weapons, materials and vehicles). The only restriction is that you can’t take every single thing that the player has. You must leave them with a decent chance at survival. (Food, Water, Clothes and Some Form of Protection)

There is no maximum limit on how much currency can be demanded (the player must have the money on them i.e can’t demand 10,000 when a player only has 2,000 on them).(Give ten seconds after each demand to allow time for the victim to respond).

Robberies must be fully roleplayed and carried out in an appropriate manner. Sentences like “1k or death!!” are not allowed.

Robbing at the traders is not allowed. Waiting outside is fair game.

Robbery and stealing are not the same thing, i.e stealing a vehicle while a player is away from it buying supplies. Stealing can happen anywhere on the map.

The victims of these all gain KoS for 1 hours after the robbery or thievery.

Assassinations:

Any assassination contract must be signed and agreed upon in local chat and a valid roleplay reason must be provided

Once the contract is signed, the contractor and the assassin must write the name of the target and the contractor must write a valid roleplay reason. The contractor must also state who they hired. And send it via PM to a Admin on the forums.

Assassins must complete their contract before they begin new contracts. They may not accept a new contract until their first contract is completed. Unless the contract is cancelled by the contractor's death or the death of the assassin.

Taxing:

Only the dominant faction or group, can declare tax for the people passing through or in their area.

You may only tax in your lands you can not tax in another unless you take control of it.

Taxing must be roleplayed

If you don't own any lands you are not allowed to tax.
(Except in your own settlement)

When stopped for Taxes you can choose to go back the way you came and you don't have to pay and you can’t be harmed for refusing to pay. However refusing to pay and carrying on your originally intended path is valid reason for the taxer to force judgement on you and take you to their lord.

Wars:

Before starting a war you must send an envoy or a messenger to the leader of the other faction to inform them.

You must declare on the forums, under the oppositions faction thread and allow 24 hours to pass before the war can begin.

The enemy faction must have at least 3 members online.

If the envoy is killed by the faction before an ultimatum is presented there is a valid reason for war.

Waring factions gain KoS on each other until one side yields/gives into the demands. Do this carefully, if you kill a non waring player it will be considered RDM.

You can also send an envoy for diplomacy where solutions can be made as substitutes for war.

That means that the envoy can be arrested or he can be allowed to leave! If he resists the arrest, then you can kill him and he can kill you.

If anyone is carrying a white flag they or their army may not be killed as long as they carry the white flag.

You can not declare war on a individuals with no land or power.
(You can not declare war on a farm)

To make peace an envoy must be sent (Offers / Demands can be made from both sides).

A player may surrender during a war, under this circumstance the leader of the faction has the choice if he wants to set the player free or if he wishes he may make the player a laborer and or execute. It is the winning sides decision.

Group/Faction Rules:

Offensive names for factions are unacceptable (including but not limited to non-english, racism, homophobia, ageism or general discrimination).

Keep the names realistic.

Executions must be roleplayed and have valid reason, such as being the head of an enemy faction that you have captured or if he surrendered.

Community Rules:

Advertising or insulting another server/community/service is not allowed under any circumstances.

Racism, homophobia, or sexual assault or any form of discrimination of any kind will result in a permanent ban from the community.

Insulting the staff or community members of the server is unacceptable and will result in punishments.

Exploiting game mechanics, hacking and glitching is also punishable offense!
