Play Left for Dead 2 the way it is meant to be played.

This fix can be run without risk. There is no chance of receiving a ban.

-IMPORTANT-

You need to edit 2 text files, and in future only launch the game via the left4dead2.exe found in your steamapps folder instead of through Steam.
Best way is to shortcut it to your desktop.

The first file ("steam_appid.txt") is found in \Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2 and needs to be edited from 550 to 510

Second file ("steam.inf") is found in \Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2 and needs to be edited from 550 to 510

You've now enabled gorey, unedited goodness that the OFLC didn't want you to have.

When these files are changed, all of your achievements will be completed.

If steam updates Left for Dead 2, you may have to edit the files again.

C'mon people, lets all laugh at the OFLC together.

I have L4D2 Uncensored for the same price, and on steam.
All you have to do, is buy it from the british, or an overseas steam store, and it is permanently uncensored.

Sorry if you've seen this before but everyone needs to know.

"The Commonwealth Government has released a discussion paper which briefly summarises the key arguments for and against an R 18+ classification for computer games. Censorship Ministers have considered the issue of an adult classification for computer games on several occasions. However, they have not undertaken public consultation on this issue."

Simply put, if we go here (http://www.ag.gov.au/gamesclassification) and fill out the submission template and mail/fax it, it just may be our ticket to getting REAL L4D2, none of this "510" bullcrap.
