Format: Best of 3, double elimination with a winners and a losers bracket. Grand final is winner of the losers bracket vs. the winner of the winners bracket. Winner of the losers bracket must win 2 series to win the final.



Rules:

I. Armies
-The battles will be Classic Battles. This is because Classic replays are uncorrupted (or at least unnoticeably so) while avatar ones are horribly broken. After doing tests I have found no good hypothesis as to why so we won't be able to do normal avatar battles.
-You must choose either Mori or Hojo for your faction. First person to choose the map gets second choice on faction.
-No limit on unit experience.
-No faction specific units (Wako Raiders/Hojo Siege Weapons).
-Max of 3 naginata monks.
-Max of 2 matchlocks.
-Because they are capped in the Avatar battles, there will be a max of 3 bow cav.
-No artillery (due to faction imbalances, ideally I wouldn't care).
-Unit size must be set to Large
-Funds set to Large
-Anyone who tries to unnecessarily lengthen a match (ie. runs his last cavalry unit around the map indefinitely when the enemy has only infantry) will be DISQUALIFIED.
-No redlining (using the boundaries to cut off attack routes).
-In order to discourage camping, the chooser of the map will be the "designated attacker". This means that at all times they must have at least one unit doing one of the following: moving towards the enemy, flanking/attempting to gain a favorable position with a clear line/intent to attack, or be engaged in melee or missile attacks. This is not applicable in a situation where one player has only cavalry left, in which case he will automatically become the designated attacker. If a third match is needed, BOTH players are designated attackers except in the cavalry-only situation stated above. Of course, this doesn't mean you have to be the "designated attacker" to attack!

II. Maps
-First 2 maps are chosen by the players, one map per player. This includes the choice of weather. Players can defer if they want. However, you cannot play the same map twice. The third match, if needed, will be one a tiebreaker map (see video).
-Key buildings must be ENABLED.

III. Replays
-Replays MUST be sent to me in this format:

Round number - (Name) vs, (Name) - Match number [abbreviate as needed if you run out of space]. Put the person who CHOSE THE MAP as the first name to signify who the designated attacker is.

For example:
R1 - F vs. A - M1

No spoilers in the replay names! Replays are saved in the Appdata folder which is hidden by default. Be sure to enable viewing hidden folders to find them. NO REPLAY = DISQUALIFICATION. Only one person needs to send a replay but I prefer the MAP CHOOSER be the one sending it. Please FOLLOW THESE REPLAY RULES CAREFULLY for maximum efficiency, enjoyment, and ease of rule enforcement.
