The Heads of Infinity Ward are officially cut. You can read some of the story all over the internet but the idea is:

They were under investigation for being in breach of their contact, and are officially off the job. Activision is taking over the franchise and word is they're going to release an Action/Adventure version of Call of Duty along side of people from Dante's Inferno and Dead Space. Treyarch will be making a new game this year and in 2011 but IW is DEAD.

What do you guys think about this!?


My Opinion:
SAY GOODBYE TO THE CALL OF DUTY FRANCHISE. Those of us who like MW2 enough to play it, enjoy while you can, this will probably be the last good Call of Duty game you ever play. I was hoping they'd learn from their mistakes and in MW3 we'd get an amazing game, but nah. We're getting an Action/Adventure title! AWESOME. -_-

I never thought I'd be looking at Treyarch as my last hope for a good Call of Duty game. ♥♥♥♥ you Activision.



MW2 may have it's flaws but it's a fun game, I've enjoyed it a lot more since I started playing on the PC as opposed to the BaddieBox.

Anyway what do you all think? This it for Call of Duty? =\





EDIT/UPDATE:

Treyarch is confirmed to be putting out a title in fall of 2010.

The newly formed Sledgehammer Games is putting out a title in 2011- the game that will "bring Call of Duty to other players" (the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ action/adventure title.)

There will be another title released in 2011 by an unnamed publisher. It is rumored(by the internet only) that this publisher will be a newly restructured Infinity Ward to put out MW3.



I personally can't wait for new genres!! I can see it now! Call of Duty: Kart Racer Warfare in 2012<3333
